PCB (인쇄회로기판(PCB) 분야)

인쇄회로기판(PCB : Printed Circuit Board)은 페놀이나 에폭시 등의 절연판에 구리 등 도체 Pattern을 형성하여 전자부품 및 반도체를 전기적으로 연결시켜주고 지지해 주는 회로연결용 부품을 지칭한다. 인체의 신경과도 비유되는 PCB는 각종 가전제품에서부터 컴퓨터, 자동차, 항공기 및 최첨단 이동통신 기기에 이르기까지 모든 전자기기에 기본적으로 장착되는 필수 부품으로, 전세계 약 600억불에 달하는 거대한 시장 규모(2012년 말 기준)가 연평균 약 6%에 가까운 고성장 기조를 지속적으로 유지하고 있다.
또한 최근 전자기기의 경박단소(輕薄短小)화 및 Green화 추세에 발 맞추어 PCB에 대한 난연성, 내열성, 내습성, 효율성(Low Loss) 및 열전도성 등의 고성능화 요구가 나날이 증대되고 있어 PCB의 기초 소재인 CCL(동박적층판), FCCL(연성동박적층판) 및 MCCL(금속 동박적층판) 시장에서도 동일한 고성능 구현이 화두가 되고 있다.
